Medium sized tree growing to 15m, although usually is much smaller. The bark sheds in large plates or flakes and is smooth or granular, similar to that of grey gums. Newly exposed bark is bright orange and weathers to grey, dark grey or grey-brown. Flowers from Spring to Summer.
